This special Reader’s Theatre event introduces a contemporary drama infused with spiritual and magical realism. Andre returns home expecting a graduation party—only to discover his mother, Maxine, is missing. In a flashback, he recalls coming out to her, while his sister Angie urges him to “use his gift” to uncover a hidden truth. Once blessed with prophetic visions, Andre finds himself transported into a game of Spades with his ancestors. Through their wisdom, he confronts family wounds, uncovers patterns of self-destruction, and takes a journey toward understanding who he truly is.
